The Centre for Brain Research coordinated 'Brain Day 2010' at the Owen Glen Building of the University of Auckiland proved to be a great success with crowds of interested people arriving even as early as 8am. Some of the lLectures and Seminars were packed and sadly people had to move into adjacent theatres to view via a video link.

All of the major groups ( a whopping 32) involved in support of research and care of those with Brain diseases were there. Areas with sensory games, brain teasers and other activities entertained and informed every member of the family. Younger people participated in science experiments and laboritory activities and one could see a new crop of researchers planning their future!

All this bodes well for the future of Brain research here in Auckland and thorughout New Zealand. I'm sure there will be another similar event next year.
